Queen Camel Parish Council

Councillor Vacancy

The Parish Council has a vacancy available to fill by co-option.

This is a great opportunity to be part of the decision making for your local community and to help steer, shape and protect the village for future generations.

The Council will consider all applications for co-option at its next meeing.

Councillors should expect to play an active role by joining committees and organising actions to progress agreed priorities. We are particularly interested in hearing from people who have an interest in footpaths and the environment, the playing field and the website, although other interests and skills are also very welcome.

Candidates will be invited to attend a meeting so that Councillors would have the opportunity to discuss their candidacy before it makes its decision on who to co-opt.

You can find out more about the Parish Council and what it does at www.queencamelpc.org.uk

Being a local councillor provides you with interesting opportunities and a large variety of free training that will enhance your skills and knowledge. Meetings take place in the evenings to fit around work and family commitments with Council meetings on the third Monday of alternate months starting at 7.30pm.
